The OK Corral Camp has a new name!
Welcome to Roundup River Ranch!

Our name may have changed, but rest assured, our mission and vision are still the same - to build a camp in Colorado that will enrich the lives of children who have chronic or life-threatening illnesses by providing camping experiences, with appropriate medical support, that are fun, memorable, safe and empowering. Thank you for your interest in the camp. We look forward to keeping you updated on our progress.

Best wishes,
The Board and Staff of Roundup River Ranch

Welcome to Roundup River Ranch!

Located in the heart of Colorado, Roundup River Ranch seeks to enrich the lives of children who have chronic or life-threatening illnesses by providing camping experiences, with appropriate medical support, that are fun, memorable, safe and empowering.

This special place is located in the heart of the Rockies along the banks of the Colorado River. The camp will reach beyond illness, giving children a sense of accomplishment and a feeling of control and empowerment. Activities such as boating and fishing, arts and crafts, horseback riding, archery and swimming are structured to allow campers to experience success, no matter what their medical condition.

All of this is provided at no cost to the campers and their families. Roundup River Ranch is projected to open in 2011. We invite you to take a closer look at our website and learn more about how you can be involved in helping spread laughter to thousands of children in the Rocky Mountain Region.

The Roundup River Ranch is proud to have The Children’s Hospital of Denver as its founding partner hospital. In addition, we are honored to be working with the Association of Hole in the Wall Camps, the world’s largest family of camps for children with serious illnesses. Hole in the Wall Camps are the dream of actor Paul Newman, who started the first camp in 1988 and who has been the driving force behind their existence ever since. he Campers

An independent firm conducted a Needs Assessment for Roundup River Ranch to determine what percentage of children with serious illnesses in Roundup River Ranch potential service area has the opportunity to go to camp.

The results conclude that there is a substantial need for more camping experiences for these children. There are more than 35,000 children with serious illnesses in the region and less than 15 percent of these children are able to attend a camp because of their illness.

On the Road

In the summers of 2007 and 2008, Roundup River Ranch participated in the Hole in the Wall Camps Virtual Camps program which we named "On the Road." Over two summers, more than 40 children participated in the program, spending a session at Camp Boggy Creek in Florida, The Painted Turtle in California, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Connecticut and Victory Junction Gang Camp in North Carolina. The campers had the time of their lives! We plan on continuing and growing the "On the Road" program until we hold sessions on our site in Colorado.
