Dear Friends,

In the time it takes you to read this letter, someone has been diagnosed with a type of blood cancer. I need your help! I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to join the fight against blood cancers through my fundraising team called Moms For A Cure.

Each year the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society launches its Man & Woman of the Year fundraising campaign, and our team leader, Ari Hausfeld Jones, is one of this year’s nominees. During this year’s campaign from April 2 -June 13, our team’s goal is to raise $100,000, which will go directly to the Society in support of its longstanding mission to find a cure for blood cancers and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. This campaign is being held in 41 major cities nationwide. The Man & Woman of the Year titles will be awarded to each male and female team with the highest fundraising totals in the 10 week period.

Although the Society has made great strides in decreasing childhood leukemia rates, the incidents of lymphoma are on the rise, and leukemia remains one of the leading disease killers of children in our country. Your donation will prevent someone from losing a child, sibling, parent or loved one.

With your generous tax-deductible donation, the Society can continue funding important research in the fight against blood cancers as well as provide outstanding patient services. Please know every dollar makes a difference.

Starting on April 1st at midnight, there are two easy ways to help our team reach its goal: You can donate online at www.momsforacure.com. Or you can mail a check to Ari Hausfeld Jones c/o Moms For A Cure, 3507 Broadrun Drive, Fairfax, VA 22033. All donations must be received by June 11, 2009. Please be sure to write “Ari Hausfeld Jones-Moms For A Cure” on the memo line of the check.
