Team in Training celebrates Hawaiian style, raising funds for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. To be held at the Salt Palace, April 15, 2009. Doors will open at, 6:00pm, dinner to be served at 6:30pm. The featured dancers are the Ilia O’ Polynesia dancers. The performance will be at 7:30, the evening will end at 10:00pm. There will be door prizes and a silent auction. There will not be a cash bar.

The menu will be as follows: Mediterranean Salad with raspberry vinaigrette topped with pineapple and coconut, Potato Rolls, Teriyaki Chicken, Kailua Pig, Lomilomi, White Rice, Custard Deserts and Hawaiian punch.

There is parking at the Salt Palace for $10, or you can park at the mall across the street. There are also parking lots on the side streets nearby. Plan to pay $5 to $10 unless you can find parking on the street.

Items donated as door prizes and silent auction items include: A massage from the Shirodhara Day Spa at 2122 E Fort Union Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121; Two pair of Hale Center Theatre tickets to Treasure Island on April 29, 2009; Desert Star Tickets for any performance with an expiration date of Mar. 3, 2011; A three-day two-night hotel package for 2 from Vacation Gettaways, there are over 50 vacation destinations to choose from (There is a $35 processing fee); Autographed photos of Ronnie Price and Jarron Collins donated by the Utah Jazz. A $100 gift certificate donated by Cookie Lee Jewelry. A handmade quilt donated by Diane Tinker. A white, baby blessing dress handmade by a local seamstress, Mary Eggett. A “White House” sword, standing three feet tall, donated by Frost Cutlery.

Tickets will be sold at SmithTix.com or at any Smiths location. The ticket price is $45 per person and seating is limited. For information on the Luau contact Lesley Byington at 801-548-6905.
