Help Us Find A Cure for Leukemia
Our Goal
It is our hope that through fundraising efforts under Nicholas' namesake chapter we will help the Leukemia Research Foundation to find a cure and put an end to this dreadful disease.
3rd Annual Golf-A-Thon
Yet another success this year! Final numbers are being compiled but it looks this year was our second best for profit. This has truly become our Little Lefty signature event. Thanks to all that golfed and we hope to see you again in 2008!!
Our First Event
The "Little Lefty" Chapter held its first fundraiser, "Holiday Shopping Night" in December of 2004. With the help of seven various independent businesses, such as Partylite, Longaberger Baskets and Tastefully Simple, we were able to raise over $1,000 for the LRF!
Villa Verone
Thank you to Pietro Verone and his staff at the Villa Verone Italian Ristorante in Geneva! Pietro hosted a fabulous night for us and we were able to raise thousands for the Foundation.
Kids for a Cure
Our second annual "Kids for a Cure" at the Kohl Children's Museum in Glenview, IL was another great time! We sold over 200 tickets to the Museum and the kids had a blast! The adults enjoyed checking out our great raffle baskets and we had many happy winners. Thanks to all the vendors for their terrific donations and to Michelle Lose, Mrs. Illinois Galaxy for supporting our event. And of course, thanks to all that attended!

Donations
The "Little Lefty" Chapter is a chapter of the Leukemia Research Foundation (LRF). The LRF was founded in 1946 to raise much needed funds for research and is made up of more than 2,000 volunteers in over 20 local chapters, who have joined together to raise funds in the fight against leukemia.
Each year, LRF uses the money generated by its chapters to award grants and fellowships to those working in the most promising areas of leukemia research. To date, LRF has awarded more than $24 million to 400 researchers worldwide. The LRF is very efficient - 73 cents of every dollar raised goes support research to find a cure for this terrible disease.
