Debbie Green was a 7 year old girl from Benwood, WV. In 1970, she was diagnosed with leukemia and for two long years she battled the disease with courage and determination. Debbie lost her courageous battle with leukemia and now, from tragedy comes triumph, and from sadness comes hope. Debbie's memory lives on with this wonderful event which benefits local children who also suffer from leukemia and need our love and support.
To Benefit // Proceeds of the event will benefit a local recipient who suffers from leukemia. The recipient will be announced on race day.
100 Yard DASH for Kids // Starts at 5:30 pm
Debbie's Dash is a 100 yard dash for children 9 years old and under. It will be held Saturday, August 1st at 5:30 pm. Registration is from 3:00 - 5:15 pm Saturday (Friday registration as well). There is a $3.00 entry Fee. Shirts and pizza is guaranteed to the first 150 registered.

Championship Timing
This year's race will be timed by the The Runner's High using the championchip system. On race day, runners and walkers will be issued a rental computer chip, which is attached to the shoelace and worn throughout the race. Special mats at the finish line will record a finished time for each chip. Make sure you get the right chip assigned to you. All chips MUST be returned at the finish line or the participant will be assessed a non-refundable, unreturnable chip replacement fee of $35.
