Fund-raising and Special Events

Fund-raising

Whether you attend a fund-raising event, make a tribute gift or a personal contribution, you can support the programs and services provided to those affected by cancer in our community.

Because the Columbus Cancer Clinic’s programs are either free or offered at low cost, we rely on the generosity of individuals, corporate donors and foundations to provide funding to support the on-going programs and services offered by the Clinic.

To find out more about attending, participating or making a contribution to the following fund-raising activities listed below, contact us at 614-263-5006.

Annual Campaign:
By making an individual gift to our annual campaign, you can support the on-going programs and services provided by the Clinic to those in need of cancer care in our community. Direct mail solicitations are sent twice a year, fall and spring.

Memorial and Honorarial Giving:
Memorial and honorarial donations provide donors with a meaningful way to make a donation in honor or memory of a loved one.

Planned Giving:
A planned gift to the Columbus Cancer Clinic helps ensure the future of the services and programs provided to those in need. Planned gifts include gifts made through your will, a charitable gift annuity, life insurance, pooled income fund or a charitable remainder trust.

Grants:
The majority of the Columbus Cancer Clinic programs and services have been generously underwritten by grants from either private or public foundations. The Clinic’s grant program is on going with the goal of having all programs underwritten on an annual basis.

Heather Pick Spirit Fund – The Heather Pick Spirit fund was launched by John F. Wolfe in 2007 at the inaugural Spirit Celebration benefiting the Columbus Cancer Clinic. The fund recognizes and honors Heather Pick a loving mother, wife, friend, and anchor at WBNS 10TV. Heather is an inspirational figure to all who are engaged in the fight against cancer. Her personal fight started in 1999 and she became a partnered with the Columbus Cancer Clinic in 2006 to support the needs of others. In 2007 Heather launched the Spirit Celebration and helped create a partnership between the Columbus Cancer Clinic and the annual Key To The Cure event hosted locally by SAKS Fifth Ave Columbus. Both of these events and the Heather Pick Spirit Fund will continue to build awareness and provide financial support for the essential services provided by the Columbus Cancer Clinic.
