Pyoderma Gangrenosum Clinical Trials
Pyoderma Gangrenosum Clinical Trials
Mayo Clinic

Clinical trials play a crucial role in Mayo Clinic's ability to test new treatments and therapies to determine if they will benefit patients. More than 3000 clinical trials and research studies occur at Mayo every year. In fact, Mayo's expertise in designing and conducting large-scale studies has led to Mayo's coordination of national clinical trials involving many medical centers.

Currently, we do not have information about clinical trials for this condition on this Web site. Patients should talk to their doctor about clinical trials for which they may be eligible. Our clinical trials database can be searched at clinicaltrials.mayo.edu. New trials are added to this database on a daily basis.

Clinical trials are closely controlled research studies involving patients and volunteers. Participants should not think of a clinical trial as a treatment. Clinical trials are regulated, scientifically-conducted research studies. Participants shouldn't expect to benefit from a clinical trial. Some do benefit, but many do not. Mayo Clinic physicians and research coordinators will discuss each clinical trial in detail with participants so they are fully informed about the trial and its purpose.
