American Cancer Society - Camps for Kids

Where kids with cancer can just be kids again.

Your American Cancer Society is proud to offer free summer camps for children with cancer. Staffed by pediatric oncologists and nurses to attend the children's needs, these camps provide a place for children in treatment or remission to become kids again through the summer camp experience. The camps allow the children to see they are not alone in their struggle and provide peer support for everyone involved.

Camp Live-A-Dream takes place in June at the Oklahoma Central Christian Camp in Guthrie, Okla. Camp Live-A-Dream is open to children between the ages of 9 and 17 years. For more information on Camp Live-A-Dream, please call Tonja Sprague at (800) 733-9888, or click here to email her.

Camp OK Corral takes place in June at Shepherd's Ford Ranch in Avant, Okla. Camp OK Corral is open to children between the ages of 6 and 18 years old. In addition, siblings are allowed to attend the camp as long as space is available, which is provided on a first come, first serve basis. Parents are also encouraged to participate in the closing ceremony. For more information, please call your local American Cancer Society office at (888) 376-1725.
